I joined Moorland in January 2019. I have been Manager since 1st August 2022. I love working at Moorland Community Caring. Listening to and capturing the spirit of people in the community brings me such joy. Managing a hard-working team is a privilege. I have lots of experience of supporting, coaching, teaching and managing people and have learned that each day is different and brings with it new challenges. Moorland’s success is most definitely due to the spirit, commitment and kindness of its Volunteers. We are so thankful to each and every one.
I joined the Women’s Royal Naval Service aged 17 and since then have enjoyed a variety of roles. I gained my Communications and Sociology degree aged 31 and then entered the world of PR & Marketing.
As I get a little older, I like to reflect on my travels around the world, including the Falkland Islands, Barbados and Bridgend! Hopefully I’ll plan some more and one day would like to own a camper van. Music is very important to me and I like nothing more than to go to a live gig, whether at Wembley or a local pub. I also enjoy cycling; don’t tell anyone, but the bike is electric…!
