Moorland Community Caring has, thanks to a grant from The Gibbons Trust of £1,500, delivered a range of gentle exercise programmes at its Moor Social events these past 6 months.
Falls and frailty are big on the NHS agenda – helping to prevent falls and learning how to gently exercise to strengthen our core is one way of reducing hospital admissions and keeping people safe. We applied to the Gibbons Trust for a Grant and they kindly enabled us to deliver sessions – Tai Chi, dance, seated exercise and more.
We have received wonderful feedback and thank everyone who took part and of course those who delivered our sessions. The happy faces and healthy appetities following the sessions made it oh so special.
